Property Taxes
Property tax bills are mailed in mid-July each year.
The Town’s fiscal year runs July 1 through June 30.
Payment Schedule
Taxes are due in four (4) installments:

Important Payment Policy

Payments must be received in the Town Office by 4:00 p.m. on the due date.

Postmarks are not accepted as timely payment.

If the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is due by 4:00 p.m. on the next business day.
Interest & Penalties

Interest accrues at 1% per month, beginning the day after each missed installment due date.

A fraction of a month is charged as a full month.
Taxes become delinquent after June 1.

A 4% penalty is added to any unpaid balance after 4:00 p.m. on June 1.
-
An additional 4% penalty is added after 4:00 p.m. on July 1.
-
Penalties are imposed on any remaining unpaid balance.

Quarterly tax payments can be automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account at no cost.
You are responsible only for ensuring sufficient funds are available.

📬 Drop Box (24/7 Access)
A secure payment drop box is located next to the Town Office door.
Payments placed in the drop box must be received before 4:00 p.m. on the due date to be considered timely. Payments retrieved after 4:00 p.m. will be processed the following business day.
Please do not place cash in the drop box.
💵 In-Person Payments
Payments may be made in person during office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
