⚠️ Avoid Interest & Penalties – Pay by June 1

  • Interest accrues at 1% per month starting the day after a missed payment
    (any portion of a month counts as a full month)
  • Taxes become delinquent after June 1

Penalties:

  • 4% added after 4:00 p.m. on June 1
  • Additional 4% added after 4:00 p.m. on July 1

Penalties apply to any remaining unpaid balance. Pay on time to avoid extra charges.

The Town of Ferrisburgh is currently seeking residents for several appointed vacancies for the 2026 term. These roles range from critical public safety leadership to advisory positions for regional planning and community recreation. 🌳📍

 

Key Appointed Position Vacancies:

These roles require an appointment by the Ferrisburgh Selectboard. Our next meeting will be on March 17th at 6:30pm.

 

              Public Safety & Health

🚨 Emergency Management Director: Responsible for local emergency planning and coordination.

🤝Emergency Management Coordinator: Supports the Director in maintaining emergency operations plans.

🩺Deputy Health Officer (3-Year Term): Assists the Town Health Officer in investigating public health hazards.

 

              Town Operations & Land Use

🌿Conservation Commission Members (3): 4-year terms focused on protecting Ferrisburgh’s natural resources.

🚜 Fence Viewers (3): 1-year terms to resolve local boundary and fencing disputes.

🗺️Addison County Regional Planning Representative (3): 1-year terms representing town interests in regional development.

🚲Transportation Advisory Committee Member: 1-year term focused on regional transit and road planning.

♻️Addison County Solid Waste District Representative: 1-year term overseeing regional waste management.

 

Committee Vacancies (No Term Limit)

The following committees have unrestricted size and are open to any resident looking to get involved immediately:

🏘️Village Center Committee Member: Focuses on the revitalization and planning of the town's designated village center.

⛸️Recreation Committee Member: Helps organize community events, youth programs, and park improvements.

🏗️ Building and Maintenance Committee Member: Advises on the upkeep and long-term planning for town-owned facilities.
