Ferrisburgh Community Hall Rental Information

The Ferrisburgh Community Hall is available for private and community events, including meetings, workshops, weddings, and receptions. Please review the following information before booking.

Notes:

  • Fees are per hour.
  • A holding deposit required and is refundable after inspection.
  • Rental includes tables, chairs, restrooms, and limited kitchen access (if applicable).
  • Additional fees may apply for alcohol service, catering, or insurance requirements.

Catering & Food

  • Renters may bring their own food or hire a licensed caterer.
  • All caterers must comply with Vermont health and safety regulations.
  • The Town does not provide catering and is not responsible for food preparation or service.

Alcohol Policy

  • Alcohol must be served by a licensed caterer or vendor.
  • A Request-to-Cater permit is required if alcohol is served by a licensed caterer at the Hall (Vermont Dept. of Liquor).
  • Alcohol cannot be served to anyone under 21.
  • Renters and vendors are responsible for safe and legal service.
  • The Town may require bartenders, security, or cessation of alcohol service if necessary.

Insurance Requirements

Caterers / Alcohol Vendors

  • General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $1,000,000 aggregate
  • Liquor Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $1,000,000 aggregate
  • Town and Renter must be Additional Insureds.
  • Certificate of insurance must be submitted before the event.
  • Caterers/vendors must verify age and monitor responsible alcohol use.

Renter

  • General Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $1,000,000 aggregate
  • Town must be Additional Insured.
  • Coverage may be provided by a homeowner’s policy or TULIP Insurance.
  • Certificate of insurance must be submitted before the event.

Facility Use & Cleanup

  • Renters are responsible for setup, decorations, and cleanup.
  • Trash and recycling must be removed; floors and kitchen cleaned.
  • Furniture and equipment must be returned to original locations.
  • Deposit refunds are subject to deductions for any property damage or cleaning requirements beyond normal wear and tear.

Liability

  • Renters assume full responsibility for injuries, damages, or losses.
  • Renters agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Ferrisburgh.
  • Vendors must maintain proper insurance and licensing.

Reservation & Cancellation

  • Reservations are accepted upon submission of a signed rental agreement and holding deposit.
  • Cancellation 48 hours prior: full refund (deposit retained).
  • Cancellation under 48 hours: deposit may be forfeited.
  • The Town reserves the right to cancel for emergencies or unsafe conditions; deposits refunded.
